Hello, your video popped up in my feed. I live in SHow Low and it was interesting to see it from your point of view. I live in the area where Show Low just begins, just a couple of miles before the big Victorian house on the corner. IF you're still here, head back in that direction and check out Fool Hollow Lake. It's beautiful! We live about 1/2 mile from there. If you want a great place to eat with a patio for your pup, either head into Pinetop and go to The Lion's Den, get a burger and fries or, If you want to stay in Show Low, go to The House for lunch, another great place for pups. Nice grassy area to sit and eat. Town is really busy right now but in another month or so, the flat landers head back home and we are quite peaceful here. Hope you enjoy!

It's no surprise to me that GPS fails so much. It's not based in reality. The code isn't open-sourced, so you can't verify for yourself if the coordinates are true and correct. It's almost like the globe model they're using is wrong...

Yes black rattlesnakes up at very high elevations--I cringe every time I watch a video where people are just plunging into high weeds and around rocks. There’s lots of them. So, if you let your dogs loose you’re asking for it. Around Payson we have black tailed rattlesnakes which have a habitat all the way up to Flagstaff and eastward along the rim.

I wear a sweet forehead band, a cool neck wrap, and a fan around my neck when I have to go outside to water. I am paying a man to water for me tonight, I needed a break. Wow! Seriously, that was some traffic, and road construction. I would hate to see you hit a horse or other large animal, they do a lot of damage to vehicles, and can total your vehicle. That black car I thought he was going to wreak you. Whoa! When is your Birthday? Good thing Arizona is getting some rain to hold down forest fires. Do you have air conditioning on solar? 🐶❤️

I’m further up the mountain in Show low. Beautiful country. Zane Grey had a cabin up off 260 but it burned down in the Dude fire. Enjoy your stay.

I've walked within a foot of two desert sidewinder rattle snakes on my property at night and had no idea they were there till they rattled and warned me. Then another time just this past June let the dogs out at midnight and they all bunched up and instead of bolting out the back door as they usually did they wouldn't move. So I opened the door more to see what the problem was and I heard the rattling, a rattlesnake was with 18 inches of the backdoor. Needless to say they didn't go out till 5 hours later.

Hey Ausia 👋 Lol Yes there are lots of wild horses in the Black Canyon lake area. That's where we camp down that road. Lots of camping down that road. There was a fire once where you seen nothing but pinion pines heading towards Showlow. FYI: The campground across from the Hon Dah Casino is full hookup. But i got turned down due to our MH being over 10 yrs old. We are at Big Lake passed Showlow and Pinetop off of rt 260 onto 273 south. Lots of camping up here and it's nice n cool. Haven't seen any snakes alive (just dead). Be careful and safe! 🙏 ❤️

Never saw a black rattler before, knew of the green ones. Show Low looks really big! The pines are nice. I think you're better off staying away from sea food when you are no where near the ocean, also prime rib isn't very appealing when you get to be our age, gets harder to digest. When you look at food as fuel, it changes what you crave...now if it only worked on the sweets. 😁😁😎😎💙💙

We even have rattlesnakes here in Michigan. Our nextdoor neighbor had a pond on their property and many were found in there. She used to take her .22 and shoot them because people swam in there. I've found it's a good idea to carry a big walking stick with you just in case.

cell phone 'gps' isn't really gps. real gps signals come from orbiting satellites up in space, cell phone 'gps' uses cell phone antenna towers to triangulate your position, so in areas where the cell signals are poor, the 'gps' will not be very accurate. a real gps reciever needs a totally clear view of the sky because the signals transmitted by the satellites are very weak, so an external, outdoor, roof-mounted antenna is absolutely required. a cell phone inside a metal vehicle could never receive real gps signals.

Oh no how scary!! Thank God you and Moo Moo are okay. The same happened to me many years ago while I was hiking up at Red Top mountain. I had jumped down of a steep embankment landing on all fours staring into the copper eyes of a huge copperhead. With a massive adrenaline rush I screamed thinking I was going to die!! Luckily the huge venemous snake scurried off frightened!

Above Heber you are in the area of the Rodeo-Chedasky fire, Huge that whole area was evacuated down to Payson and further. Huge fire for its time in the late 1990’s.

snakes are part of the ecosystem and necessary, around that area bounders in any area you will find snakes staying there out of the heat, and they live in those areas. Do not stay away just go with more of an open eye for that to maybe run into. Rats, mice, and other insects are on its menu, and it did give you a warning. Snakes are not nasty but part of the system, glad you are ok.
